Talking with Students about Diversity. Doing-Difference-Acts during Diversity-Specific Topics
Abstract
The topic of this phd-Project is Diversity as it is experienced by primary students when talking about it in primary schools. Therefor it is essential to analyse the term Diversity and its implications for schools and students. One first perception is, that diversity cannot be reduced by ‘common’ categories like race, gender or body. Despite Diversity doesn’t focus only on the conveniences of a cultural or sexual different group but also on implicated discrimination or social inequality. Using the Grounded-Theory-Methodlogy, the empirical part tries to identify processes of subjectification when talking with students in a specific topic about diversity.
