International Workshop on E-Governance and Educational Accountability in Berlin

June 5, 2025

On June 3 and 4, 2025, the international workshop "Agentic Citizens," "Stakeholders," and Social Accountability in the Era of E-Governance took place in Berlin in cooperation with the SCRIPTS Cluster of Excellence. Around 20 researchers from several European countries came together to discuss key questions about the use of (educational) data, governance instruments, and social accountability in the context of post- and neoliberal societies.

Expert presentations and panel discussions explored, among other topics, the role of individual actors, human rights discourses, and international comparative perspectives. Particular attention was paid to the growing importance of new actor constellations and the shifting of responsibilities in the education sector.

The workshop benefited from the methodological diversity and thematic expertise of the participants, which enabled an intensive and insightful exchange. We thank all participants for their committed participation and inspiring contributions. The workshop program can be viewed again HERE.
