Schools as steering actors in the education system
Funding
The project was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
Description
This partial project aimed at the development and evaluation of electronic feedback structures based on identified usage profiles. Another object was to investigate effects of different evaluation approaches in schools with regard to competency development in students. Interactive online feedback systems were developed by external programmers and used parallel for exploration. Teachers from schools of the first part of this project were subject to the exploration and development of efficient feedback systems. Tailor-made feedback systems were compared to ordinary standard systems in a partially randomized control trial intervention. Accessibility and acceptance of the feedback were as much analyzed as dependent attributes as were the perceived potential of the feedback system for class and school development measures. Moreover, effects of type affiliation and organizational attributes of the schools and its performance (VERA) were modelled longitudinally.
