Research Interests
- Higher education research: with a focus on difference/diversity, lifelong learning, permeability, transitions (e.g. from vocational schools to higher education).
- Analysis of institutional and organisational structures, discourses and practices in education systems against the background of processes of social change such as internationalisation, Europeanisation and digitalisation.
- International comparative education research (including the transfer of education policies and programmes)
- Social inequality research
- Qualitative research methods

- since 10/2020: fellow (external) at Leibniz Forschungszentrum Wissenschaft und Gesellschaft (LCSS) at Leibniz Universität Hannover
- 06/2014: completion of doctoral studies at Freie Universität Berlin. Thesis title: "Permeability through Europeanization? changing vocational and higher education in France and Germany."
