Hans Anand Pant ist full professor of Research Methods in Educational Science at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and is managing director of the The German School Academy, an independent institution for school development and teacher training funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Heidehof Stiftung. Between 2010 and 2015, he served as co-director of the Institute for Educational Quality Improvement (Institut zur Qualitätsentwicklung im Bildungswesen [IQB]). From 2007-2010, he directed the Institute for School Quality Improvement at Freie Universität Berlin. Pant received his PhD in psychology from Freie Universität, and was a Fulbright Senior Researcher at Stanford University and at University of Michigan in 2003-04. The focus of his work is on validity issues in competence testing, educational reform and the implementation and transfer of educational innovations, as well as educational large-scale assessment.
