Dr Camilla Addey is a researcher based at Humboldt University in Berlin with a Fritz Thyssen research fellowship. Her current research project, P4D4Policy, focuses on PISA for Development in Ecuador and Paraguay as a way to enquire into changing education policy processes and the reframing of global education policy actors. Her previous research focused on adult literacy and the rationales for participation in international literacy assessments in Mongolia and Laos.

Camilla is also co-director and coordinator of the Laboratory of International Assessment Studies, a network and space for inter-disciplinary research on international education assessments. http://international-assessments.org/

She is author of Readers and Non-Readers and co-editor of Literacy as Numbers and co-editor of Literacy as Numbers: researching the politics and practices of international literacy assessment. She teaches on global education policy and international education assessments.

She previously worked at UNESCO in Paris in the Literacy and Non-Formal Education section and taught English as a Foreign Language at the British Council in Rome and Paris.

Co-Investigator in an ‘ESRC seminar series’ grant, Camilla is co-convening six high-level, international seminars in South and North America and Europe on the ‘The potentials, politics and practices of international assessments’. http://international-assessments.org/esrc/
