Thorsten Scheiner ist Gastprofessor für Mathematik und ihre Didaktik in der Primarstufe am Institut für Erziehungswissenschaften der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Zudem wirkt er als Gastprofessor für Didaktik der Mathematik am Institut für Mathematik der Freien Universität Berlin und ist Honorary Fellow am Institute for Learning Sciences and Teacher Education der Australian Catholic University in Brisbane, Australien.
