As an undergraduate as well as doctoral student Sandra Milena Herrera was closely connected to Marcelo Caruso for many years and since Professor Caruso’s appointment as professor at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin she also became closely associated with the History of Education department. During her years as a member of the department Sandra strongly supported our work and research both thematically and personally. We are deeply saddened about her sudden passing in August of 2018 and remain in silent mourning of our colleague and friend.
