Motivation
What excites me about my field is that I can not only generate insights theoretically, but also translate them into innovative, sustainable implementations, especially in teacher training. In my role at HU, I experience on a daily basis how diverse and dynamic the interfaces between research, teaching and social responsibility are, whether in collaboration with teacher training students, teachers or other stakeholders. It is particularly important to me to make intersectional perspectives visible and to make scientific approaches accessible for educational practice.
I am currently still in the early stages of my doctoral studies and find this time to be a particularly open and educational phase – full of opportunities to explore new areas with curiosity and openness. I am currently doing my PhD on the professionalisation of teachers in the context of democracy education using digital teaching and learning settings. In the long term, I would like to continue researching the interface between media and democracy education in the context of teacher training, and I am excited to see where my path will take me.
